On Tuesday 16 June, ELC students attended a whole-day excursion to Moonlit Sanctuary. Students enjoyed hand-feeding wallabies, kangaroos and water birds as well as learning about koalas, echidnas, and animal training through interesting information sessions.
Highlights from students:
“My favourite thing about Moonlit Sanctuary was feeding the animals and touching a kangaroo.” Mike
“We were so lucky to see the koalas, and we learnt that they sleep 20 hours per day and then the rest of the time they eat leaves.” Anna
“I enjoyed seeing all the animals and I enjoyed the time with my classmates. The ducks were following us everywhere because we were feeding them. It was interesting learning about the Koala’s life.” Yarik
“Yesterday we had a lot of fun and a lot of chance to chat to classmates. We got to touch kangaroos, and we were very popular with the ducks and birds. They followed us around.” Spencer
“I very much liked touching the kangaroo and watching Spencer eat the kangaroo food.” Wendy
