SPORTS TEAMS

Table Tennis

Our Year 7 team consisted of Zach Cochrane, Ethan Collis, Zach Pearce and Billy Wilson. Our Year 8 team consisted of Caleb Turton, Jordan Foote, Billy Dixon and Marty Cook. The boys were able to put up great competition against Leongatha and Mary Mackillop, however were overcome by the strength of Wonthaggi. 

Basketball

“On Wednesday 18 August, 16 year 8 students ventured to Splash in Leongatha to participate in the South Gippsland basketball competition. It was a great day with all students representing Korumburra Secondary College with pride. The girls team finished in sixth place overall, with Charlotte Anthony being a standout player. 

The boys team made it into the grand final, unfortunately going down by 4 points to Wonthaggi Secondary College. Tommy Burgess led the way offensively with Nathan Halliday competing hard at the defensive end. Congratulations to all of the students that participated on the day.”

Intermediate and Senior Volleyball

The going was tough, as both the Wonthaggi and Leongatha teams in these age groups were organised and communicated with one another well. By the third sets of each, the teams were starting to orient themselves to the rules and the rhythm of the game. Mr Cronin arrived during these first games and was able to provide proper strategy to the players, beyond Ms Kennedy's expert "Have fun and cheer each other on  even when you lose the ball", in the pre-game huddles.

Year 7-8 Girls Football

On the 5th May the7-8 girls football team put in a fantastic fight all day and displayed great sportsmanship, teamwork and determination!
