PERFORMING ARTS

This year at Korumburra we had Year 7 and 8 Performing Arts, Year 9/10 Performing Arts and VCE Music. Ms Handley enjoyed her time with Year 7s learning about concepts of Rock/ Pop music and building some script-writing skills focusing on modern fairy-tales. Her Year 9/10 students were able to branch out into a passion project of their choosing; monologue work, song-writing, mixing and prop making were some choices.

Ms Reymers Year 8 students learnt about the Blues genre and how to compose a catchy blues song. For Drama they developed an understanding of character stereotypes through the dramatic concepts in Commedia dell’arte. It was a challenging year for all students but particularly challenging for VCE Music students, but all students showed great resilience and were able to complete the year successfully.
