World Water Day

THE World Water Day 2023 campaign, called Be the Change, encourages people to take action in their own lives to change the way they use, consume and manage water. On Monday, 20 March the Climate Canons hosted a Blooket Competition in the Br Pat Forum at lunchtime. Students competed against each other to win water-wise prizes from the Water Corporation. They were asked questions about saving water working against the clock to bet their peers and steal their points. Congratulations to Elizabeth Brosztl (K3) for being the overall quiz winner and to all involved.

International Day of Forests

THE UN International Day of Forests celebrates and raises awareness of the importance of all types of forests, and this year’s theme focuses on forests and human health. On Wednesday 22nd March, students were involved in an International Day of Forests Scavenger Hunt, searching for specific trees all over the College. They had to work out the clue, find the tree, answer a question about trees and then received their next clue. Congratulations to the participating students from K4 for winning the Scavenger Hunt, followed by M7 and K3, a fun activity had by all involved.

Containers for Change

THANK you to all the students using the Containers for Change bins correctly. We have rescued over 3000 containers from landfill in Term 1. But do you know what happens to your containers when you recycle them at Containers for Change? Hear all about it at the link below and keep recycling your 10c containers here at school and at home! Every bit counts.
