YEAR 7 KIDS FOOD FOR KIDS PROGRAM

Our PCG (Year 7 Carden) made 40 different lunches last Friday which were later delivered by College parents, Mrs Kyalee Carey and Mrs Melita Markey, to Koondoola Primary School.

Each student in our PCG was asked to bring $2 to cover the cost of the lunches. In each bag there was a sandwich, an apple and flavoured milk. Our lunches are used for breakfast and lunch each day for children from needy families who come to school with no food.

We would like to thank Baker’s Delight in Mullaloo for the bread donation and College parent, Mr Anthony Pullela from Herdsman Markets, for the donation of the apples. Thanks also to the Home Economics Department for helping us make the sandwiches.

It was very nice to know that we helped children and families who are going through difficult times. It just goes to show how $2 each can go to make a child’s day better.
