MIDDLE SCHOOL ETHICS TRAINING DAY

The possibilities and opportunities open to students are amazing thanks to technology. I am sure many of our parents/caregivers would have loved to discuss ethical issues with students from Singapore, Hong Kong and other parts of Australia when they were in high school. Students had the opportunity to examine issues such as:

  • Citizenship status at birth
  • Paralympic pay parity
  • Jaws - who’s responsible?
  • The Social Network - bullying?

Interested families could discuss Citizenship status at birth over dinner by clicking the link below.

This week Jaime Sadlo (Year 8 Carden), Oliver Budas (Year 8 Normandy) and Emmet Kelly (Year 7 Thu Duc) had the chance to listen to lecturers from Harvard University and other parts of the world discuss some of these cases in preparation for the online event that will take place in November. Thanks to Ms Halina Alter who supervised and shared her wisdom in my absence.
