Science Week 2022
This year we celebrated the National Science Week 2022 from Saturday, 13 August to Sunday, 21 August. After two years of Science Week during lockdown, it was fantastic to see so many students excited and engaged in Science Week activities.
This is what we got up to...
Tuesday - A Science Visit from Edgars Creek PS!
On Tuesday morning, we had a visit from the grade 5/6 students at Edgars Creek PS. Students listened to a presentation about Year 7 Science at ECSC, visited their first ever high school Science Lab and got to explore some cool science gadgets and finally participated in a Science Week Kahoot! It was a fantastic morning and was great to see so many students excited about Science!
Tuesday - Science Week Amazing Race
At Tuesday lunch time, we ran a Science Amazing Race! Students started in the Theory Science room and raced around the STEM building to solve all the clues.
The clues matched up to elements on the periodic table which spelt out:
"Science Champions"
Our Winners were:

Thursday - Science Experiments
At Thursday lunch time, we ran three science activities for students to complete. Students had the choice between creating Latex Bouncy Balls, Sherbet and Bath Bombs.
Students were able to take their chosen creation home with them!
Friday - ECSC Annual Science Week Kahoot
At Friday lunch time, we ran the 2nd Annual Science Week Kahoot. Students were engaged, excited and respectful and it was fantastic to see!
The winners were:

It was a fantastic week celebrating science with our students. It was great to see the enthusiasm and excitement for science pouring out of our students. Bring on National Science Week 2023 😁
