Wear it Purple Day - Friday 26th August
Wear it Purple was founded in 2010 in response to global stories of real teenagers, real heartache and their very real responses. In 2010, several rainbow young people created this awareness day following bullying and harassment resulting from the lack of acceptance of their sexuality or gender identity.
To celebrate, Edgars Creek Secondary College will be having a FREE casual dress day and ask students to wear a splash of purple.
There will be a range of activities happening throughout the day for all students as well.
RUOK? Day
ECSC will be celebrating RUOK? Day on Thursday 8th September.
R U OK? is a harm prevention charity that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times in their lives.
Look out for more announcements regarding this on Compass.
Baseline Youth Services
Baseline Youth Services has been running a lunchtime workshop for students one per month. This will be increasing to fortnightly with CMY (Centre for Multicultural Youth) coming on board and running sporting activities for students.
