Year 8 News

Vermont Secondary College

A big welcome back to all our Year 8 students and families.

Over the course of the last week we have watched our students demonstrate resilience and leadership as they continue the work that we started during transition last year, with confidence, settling into their new classes.

A couple of reminders for students and families:

· Please ensure that all personal items are secured in your locker with a lock.

· Hard-copy Diaries are brought to all classes and homework recorded regularly.

· Devices are fully charged at the start of the day.

· Ensure that all uniform and equipment is clearly labelled with name and form.

· Please ensure that you are connected to the school through the Compass Parent Portal and you know your sign in credentials.

· Please check that all medical and contact information on Compass is accurate.

Should you still require any textbooks or equipment for classes, please check our school website for booklist details and contact Campion to coordinate an order.

Any student who was absent for school photos. Please note that the Schoolpix Photographers will again be at the college on Tuesday 7 March, Period 1, in the Music Centre, for the Leadership photos and any catch up photos can be taken then.

Important Dates coming up:

Swimming Carnival: Wednesday 15th of February. All students in Yr 7-9 to attend.

Please check that consent has been provided on Compass. Any queries please contact the General Office and or Sports Coordinators: Amy Malander and Shaun Gillespie.

Finally, should you or your child have any queries or concerns, please feel free to contact us and we will work with you to assist and find solutions.

Thank-you
