Vermont Secondary College

Welcome from Wellbeing

The Wellbeing team welcomes you to the 2023 year and hopes that the beginning of your year has been a good one. We have certainly noticed that students in general appear much more settled than they were at the start of last year, following the lockdowns of the previous years.

The Wellbeing team offers support to young people and their families who are experiencing and dealing with a wide range of mental health and wellbeing concerns. The best way to get in contact with us is through your child’s Student Manager or House teams. Alternatively, if the issue is of a sensitive nature you can always call or send us an email directly.

We will be publishing regular articles in the newsletter to bring you tips, advice and guidance on a range of concerns that affect young people. We also hope to organise a number of parent information evenings over the course of 2023. Look out in the newsletter for more information on this.

Staff in the team include:

Leesa Moar (Well Being Team Leader)

Paula Hall (Mental health practioner)

Alex Tiver (Wellbeing/teaching)

Bhagya Senatilaka (Social Worker
