SENSATIONAL SUCCESS AT THE SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH COMPETITION - AGAIN!

Once again, McKinnon students have achieved sensational success at the annual Science Talent Search competition. Science Talent Search, which is in its 70th year, is an annual science competition that encourages and develops an ongoing interest in the study of Science. This year’s theme was ‘Food: Different by Design’ and we had a multitude of projects submitted into the competition. Of these, eight students were awarded individual bursaries totalling $1190!

The dedication and consistent work of the students and our Science staff - Mrs Therese Sweeney, Ms Kerryn Scott and Ms Marks, were also rewarded the Peter Craig School Award, which recognises the high quality of entries submitted over the breadth of sections in the competition. An amazing achievement!

Thank you to the students and teachers, particularly Ms Kerry Scott, for their tireless efforts and organisation.
