'Top Class' Excursions

Rewind back to March when the Year 10 Music and VCE Music Performance classes attended ‘Top Class Music’, whilst the VCE Theatre Studies classes attended ‘Top Class Theatre Studies’.

The ‘Top Class’ series features incredible young performers who received very high grades for their VCE Performance examinations in 2021. We were ecstatic to see one of our very own past students, Daniel W (formally 12G3), perform The Company’s Lament on the bagpipes for ‘Top Class Music’. Since his performance, Daniel has been invited to perform in ‘Top Acts 2022’, a concert featuring only 21 young performing artists from across the ‘Top Class’ series. 

For one student, ‘Top Class’ was their first live performance in 2 years! For another, the performances made them reminisce about their own previous performance experiences. The ‘Top Class’ series provided inspiration and saw everyone walking away from the excursion feeling energised, with dreams of gaining a place on that stage in the following years.
