Term 2
Across a very busy term so far, we have had multiple sporting events across the UHS sport program with some outstanding results achieved by our students.
Students that represented the school at the State Swimming Championships held at MSAC on 24th April:

It is a fantastic achievement in making it through to the State level competition so well done to all our swimmers that competed on the day. With a special mention to Nicolas MR who swam strongly in both of his individual events including a two second-place finish both the 18 Boys 50m Butterfly & 18 Boys 50m Backstroke events.
Amazing effort, well done Nic!
We had a huge turnout with the largest cohort of students representing University High amongst all the competing schools on the day. It was wonderful to see the waves of green from our students with so many students representing the school proudly. Across both track and field events, the day saw a lot of success leading to majority of students on the day qualifying through to the Regional Athletics finals in September.
Special mention to Carson of 11J2 who turned plenty of heads flying down the track with some amazing times including 22.17 200m! Well done, Carson.
On May 2nd, the Year 8 Boys Tennis team ventured out to Booroondara Tennis Centre to compete in the Northern Metro Regional Championships. The Year 8 team which consisted of Rohan O, Daksh S, Duncan S, Beren U and Daniel W, beat 6 other schools but unfortunately lost in the final coming runners up in the Northern Metropolitan Region which is a fantastic effort. Well done boys!
Last in Term 1, it was the first time in 12 years that UHS had won the Northern Metro Regional Championship. Congratulations to all swimmers that were a part of the team with some incredible individual results across the day.
Throughout Term 2, we sent out teams across all year levels to compete in the Inner North Division interschool with over 600 students representing UHS on sports day across AFL, soccer, badminton & netball. These teams competed against our neighbouring schools within the area for the opportunity to progress through to the next regional level.
Some fantastic results with both our Year 8 & Intermediate (Year 9+10) boys progressing onto the regional stage as well as our senior boys netball team who has progressed as well. Congratulations and good luck to all at the next stage.
A very busy and successful Term 2 of sport at UHS!
