Welcoming new instruments at UHS

This term we have welcomed two new instruments to University High School - a digital organ and a double bass!

We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to Vivan and William Webber for their generous donation of a digital organ, which provides our students the unique opportunity to play the organ as a performative instrument at University High School. For our students and staff, listen out for our very own Yesie LV (11C1) playing the organ during his VCE Music Performance class in the Performance Centre on Friday mornings.

Our gratitude and appreciation also goes to Andrea Carr and Tim Richter, who have generously donated a double bass. This donation provides an opportunity for a student to learn the double bass at Uni High who may not otherwise be able to access the instrument. Will R (10C3) has made a fantastic contribution to the music department through his double bass performance in the school ensemble program and succeeding in numerous AMEB exams on the instrument. Will is now learning bass guitar, which he plays in the Concert Band.
