Saadhana, Alexandra and Juliet working hard in Beekeeping Club

Beekeeping Club

During the winter months, Beekeeping club has moved indoors where we have been building our frames and boxes for springtime.

The beekeeping club has been working tirelessly to make the beehives from start to finish.

The students have been great all year. I hope that the Beekeeping club inspires some students to become beekeepers in their own right in the future.

Bitcoin Club

This month in Bitcoin club, we have been mainly discussing historical topics like:

  • the nature of money
  • what gives gold its value
  • the shortcomings of gold
  • the rise of fractional reserve banking
  • inflation

All roads lead to Bitcoin!

Thanks to all the attendees, particularly the regulars Fergus H, Adem A and Oliver H.

Bitcoin Price on Monday 6th June 2020: $43,000 AUD

Worm Farm

The year 10 Urban Horticulture class have been building their worm farms and compost bins as part of their efforts to manage food waste at UHS.

Kindly donated by Bunnings, UHS now has a fully functioning worm farm that is ready to eat your food scraps.

We hope that the worms will be happy at UHS!
