The Young Women’s Club (YWC)

The Young Women’s Club (YWC) aims to create a safe space for young women at Uni High. 

At the YWC, we discuss and reflect on our experiences as women, as well as participate in activities and mini-workshops to learn and share new skills on how to make positive and meaningful connections with one another. 

At YWC we also plan and coordinate fun activities and school events (e.g., Cultural Day) to boost the school spirit and sense of togetherness. At YWC we felt so honoured to host UHS’s first Cultural Day. Although stressful to plan, the outcome was more than we could have ever imagined, and we cannot wait to host the next Cultural Day so we can share and embrace the array of different cultures present at our school.
