Lara Cann

Recently, past student and Healesville local, Lara Cann, competed in the Ironman World Championship in Utah, representing Australia!

Lara graduated from Healesville High School in 2002. As a teenager she was an excellent swimmer and represented the school exceptionally well at the Yarra District and Eastern Zone level. Lara swam with the Healesville Swimming Club for many years.

The World Championship course was tough and Lara had to battle extreme heat and even a mini tornado! Suffice to say, she was thrilled to finish and to finish 45th in her age group.

What a fantastic achievement! We know Lara will continue to inspire those around her, particularly her training partners. We look 

forward to following her future training and races.
