Stars

Congratulations to this edition's stars! These students have been nominated by one or more of their teachers and we are proud to acknowledge the way in which they act according to our school values.

 

Year 7- Otis Morant

Otis was nominated by Mrs Morley. She has been impressed by the way he has transitioned to secondary school. Otis has received numerous green chronicles and he is eager to assist teachers in any way he can. Otis is a polite and respectful student and his interactions with staff and his peers are always positive. Well done, Otis! We are happy to have you at HHS

 

Year 8- Charlotte Richards 

Charlotte has been nominated by three teachers! Mr McMahon, Ms Katsi and Mr Fisher all commented on Charlotte's excellent work ethic and the way she approaches all tasks with diligence and maturity. Charlotte has also received green chronicles for her willingness to help others. Congratulations, Charlotte!

 

Year 9- Tyler Lancaster

Mrs Mitchell has nominated Tyler for the way he approaches work 

in English. When he is away, he makes an effort to stay up-to-date and he isn't afraid to ask for help via email. He starts his work quickly, is friendly to every one and deserving of his star award. Keep up the great work, Tyler.

 

Year 10- Celeste Duthie 

Ms Plunkett nominated Celeste for her star award. Ms Plunkett has not only been impressed by Celeste's work ethic, but she has really appreciated the way Celeste involves herself in class discussions. She adds interesting comments that encourage a deeper exploration of the topic being studied, benefitting all students. Well done, Celeste!

 

Year 11- Zoe Boundy

Zoe has been nominated by her Foundation Math teacher,  Ms Todd, for her positive attitude towards learning. Zoe is organised and enthusiastic and Ms Todd admires her willingness to assist others. Zoe is increasingly taking a greater leadership role within the math classroom and other students are benefiting from this. Nice to see, Zoe!

 

 

Year 12- Kirstie Whelan

Kirstie was nominated by two teachers, Mrs Plunkett and Mrs Jackson. Both have been pleased with Kirstie's endeavour to complete all set tasks, particularly as she is unable to attend class due to illness. She remains focused in class, is goal orientated and always tries her best. Kirstie is a great role model for other students. Congratulations, Kirstie!
