Australian Wood Review’s Maker of the Year Awards, presented by Carbatec, are now open for entries! This year there are four student category awards – two for secondary school students and two for tertiary students.

  • Entry is open to students enrolled in full- or part-time secondary or tertiary study in 2021 and/or 2022.
  • Winner of the secondary school category will receive $500. Runner-up will receive a $1,000 Carbatec gift card.
  • Winner of the tertiary category will receive $500. Runner-up will receive $1000 Carbatec gift card.
  • Entries are displayed at www.woodreview.com.au. Many also shown on our Facebook and Instagram pages as well.
  • To enter, go to www.woodreview.com.au/moty2022 and upload five images and a description. An optional video link may also be supplied.
  • Standard entry pricing per entry is $20 until Aug 21, last-minute entry is $25. Entries close September 5, 2022.

Maker of the Year awards are a platform for viewing and appreciating all kinds of woodworking – from furniture through to wood art in its many forms. Items may be joined, carved, turned, or made using a combination of techniques. The December issue of Wood Review magazine will feature winning and highly commended entries.
