STOP One Punch Can Kill

The Year 10 cohort were treated to a formal assembly held by our guest presenter Caterina Politi. Caterina was able to share her own personal experiences of the loss of her son as the direct result of a One Punch action. 

Through her efforts, Caterina’s organisation, Stop One Punch Can Kill, has advocated and fought for Law reform in mandatory minimum sentences for such actions to result in a minimal 10 year imprisonment sanction.  Through the presentation, Caterina’s message was clear, regardless of the circumstances, take care of yourself and walk away.   

The presentation was engaging and thought provoking and the Wantirna students gained an interesting perspective. Thank you to Caterina, firstly for sharing her story with our Year 10 cohort and, secondly for fighting for legal change in the Victorian community for a worthy cause.
