2023 School Production

Freaky Friday is only a week away! Our whole community is extremely excited to bring this fun, energetic show to the Lilydale stage from August 10 to 12. 

The cast and crew have been hard at work in the weeks leading up to show week, refining scenes, polishing vocals and enhancing our sets, costumes and props. 

We had our annual ‘Painting Party’ early in the term, which was, as usual, a huge hit. After a hard day of rehearsing, the pizza arrived and after a few moments rest we got to work painting set pieces, all accompanied by passionate sing-a-longs. As usual, show tunes were the most popular choice!

We can’t wait to show off our hard work to the school community!

Freaky Friday is based on the novel and movies of the same name and tells the story of a mother (Katherine) and daughter (Ellie) who mysteriously find they’ve swapped bodies, just before Katherine is about to get married. Suddenly Ellie finds herself trying to placate the journalists from Weddings Magazine and Katherine negotiates the complexities of a day in high school, all while they desperately try to solve the mystery of how to reverse their situation. There’s plenty of laughs and some poignant moments too.
