27 June to 30 June
Well done to our EIS Netball girls on a FANTASTIC week of NETBALL at the Waverley International Schools Netball Championships.
4 days of Netball, 35 teams and 17 schools from SA, WA, TAS, ACT, VIC and two teams from Sri Lanka.
Thank you to Ms Wyatt and Ms Taylor for coaching and a special thank you to Ms Powson for coming in to support the students. The girls LOVED her home cooked muffins!
Finally, a BiG thank you to Ms Crotty for a GREAT week of Netball.
Last term, the LHS Junior Football teams competed at the Eastern Metro Competition. Although unsuccessful, there was a lot of young talent shining for us!
Best players on the day were:
Year 7 - Mason Agnew, Jye Aitkin, Zac McMillan, Bronte Crunden, Kobe Harrington and Billy Neal
Year 8 - Fletcher Lamb, Blake O’Kane, Cooper Thomson, Cooper Aitkins, Mitch Upton and Hayden Berimanm
Thursday 13 July
Congratulations to Madeline Laven and Ky Harris (Year 12) who competed at the SSV State Cross Country Championships for primary and secondary students.
Congratulations to Hunter Ryan (Year 9) who competed in the 15&U (AFL) Championships in Ballarat (22 to 29 July) for team VIC.
Friday 21 July
Over 65 LHS students competed at Knox Basketball Stadium. Both the BOYS and GIRLS came away CHAMPIONS!

Monday 24 July
The Junior, Intermediate and Senior Netball Boys gave it their all at Waverley Netball Centre, but unfortunately could not make it through to finals.
Such a very high standard of competition and the LHS boys showed improvement each game. Well done!
Thank you to the Senior Girls for coaching as part of their sport and recreation course. Also, to Ms Taylor for coaching the Junior Team.
Special mention to Ms Rowson for coming to help support the boys and give some valuable feedback.
And thank you to the parents who came along to support the boys.

Wednesday 26 July
LHS had three teams compete against the best 3x3 teams. Our Division 2 Boys made the Quarter Finals, while the other two teams made the final 16!
Friday 28 July
Our Senior Girls in action at the State Basketball Centre.
Monday 31 August
Our Senior Boys and Girls Basketball teams competed well. Both fought hard, but unfortunately didn't progress. Well done to all.
Monday 31 July
Well done to the Year 7 team for making it to the semi-final. Each player gave it their all but unfortunately just lost out to a strong Ringwood team.
Our Year 8 team played some hard contested Netball but could not progress to finals.
Thank you to the parents for coming to support the girls. And thank you to Ruby, Jennifer, Ella and Nikki for their coaching and scoring!

Our Year 8 Boys team were dominant all day, winning the Grand Final by 25. The Girls team finished runners-up after a gallant effort in the Grand Final. Well done!
