2023 Battle of the Bands
Congratulations to all the finalists in this years Battle of the Bands.
First Place (92 points)
NËTA - Ayla Harnett, Joshua Clark, Emmaline Greaves, Noah Vincent and Tom Carden
Second Place (90 points)
ENH Jazz Ensemble - Kai Raiteri, Tristan Dent, York Newell, Jadon Aloysius and Max Caulfield
Third Place (87 points)
ABC - Ari Cooper, Ben Seymour and Callum Eade
It was a very tight competition and all the students involved should be very proud of each of their performances. All students received certificates and 5 Star music stickers.
Winning group NËTA, received a $100 Five Star Music voucher, round About Amy t-shirts and their name on our new perpetual shield.

Performing Arts Captains Shannon Rayner and Stacey Pepers, with Mr Morgan, Miss Lie, Ms Pischiutta and Grand Final Guest Judge, Miss Cumming.
Congratulations must also go to the staff band’s performance of ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ with the following teachers;
Mr Beale (guitar), Mr Feeger (guitar), Mr Bleakley (vocals), Miss Lie (bass guitar), Mr Carr (bass guitar), Mr Beatson (backing vocals), Ms Powson (backing vocals and tambourine), Ms Stepniewski (backing vocals and tambourine), Mr Coles (drums), Matt (guitar) and Mr Morgan (keyboard).
Student Performances
‘Dive’ by Ed Sheeran performed by Noah Vincent, Ayla Harnett and Taylah Mae Gundry at the whole school assembly.
‘Good Riddance' (Time of your Life) by Green Day performed by Emily Geerling and Dylan Hodgens-Nash at the Year 11 Awards Ceremony.
Victorian State School Spectacular
Tickets are still available for the VSSS – Happy Travels – at John Cain Arena on Saturday 9 September.
LHS The Voice
Returning in 2023 is the ever-popular vocal competition, open to students in all year levels.
Keep your eyes on Compass for information about blind auditions to be held mid-term, with heats running in Weeks 9 and 10.
