Interschool Sport

We received notification this week that the SCSA sports that had been rescheduled (excluding Aerobics) for the coming weeks have now been cancelled and we will now turn our attention to returning to interschool sport in 2022.

The Aerobics team have demonstrated great commitment and have continued to train online Wednesday mornings prior to online classes commencing. We commend the girls on their efforts to attend these sessions and the improvements they have shown.

Over the next few weeks the two teams will be confirmed and they will spend this valuable time working on their transitions within the routine in the lead up to the competition which will be a recording of their routine.

While Kilbreda sport is almost done for 2021 we wish our students all the best as they return to their community sport in the coming weeks.

We would also like to thank our House Leaders for 2021. To Grace, Caley, Ash, Jasmine, Jacqui, Meg, Eliza and Bridgette - while your sporting opportunities were cut short again this year, we thank you for your contribution to the Kilbreda Sport program throughout all your years at Kilbreda.

2022 Sports Leaders

Congratulations to the following students on their Sport and House Leader positions for next year. During the interview process the girls were very passionate about their vision for the House Leader positions for 2022. They are very excited about the year that lies ahead.

Kilbreda Sports Captain - Emily Roberts

This position has been created with the purpose of leading the promotion of intra and interschool sport within the College and we were very pleased that Emily has accepted this position for 2022.

Emily has been an integral part of Kilbreda sporting teams since her arrival in Year 7 and is passionate about encouraging other students to share the experiences that she has been fortunate to have over the years.

Kilbreda House Leaders

The House Leaders will work with Emily to promote participation in the House Carnivals: Swimming and Athletics, other sport and the Fun Run.

The Leaders are looking forward to increasing the opportunities for students to get involved in a range of House activities to assist them in developing more connections and involving themselves in life at the College.

Congratulations:

School Sport Victoria (SSV) - Virtual Track and Field Competition

Victorian primary and secondary schools and students are encouraged to take part in the SSV Virtual Track and Field competition. There are several ways to participate including running, walking, jumping, or throwing. SSV is not looking for the best performance; we are looking for students to give it a go!

By taking part in this great event, students will not only score points for their school, but they will also be improving themselves every time they try. There is nothing better than self-improvement and personal bests.

Visit SSV Virtual Track and Field to find out more and get started!
