Christmas for Cebu

Yesterday Sacred Heart Primary launched Advent with a dress up day raising funds for the victims of typhoons in Cebu. The Yr Six Justice team came up with the idea that for a gold coin donation students and teachers could dress in Advent purple or in Christmas colours. The day began like all Tuesday's with whole school Christian Meditation. The focus of our morning prayer was lighting our first candle on our Advent Wreaths. 

It was an amazing response from our whole school community and we thank everyone for the way they contributed. As a school we raised $1240 for the people of Cebu and it will be put to good use immediately helping families with basic food and water needs as well as helping with the process of rebuilding homes.

Thank you everyone for your amazing response and well done to our Yr 6 Justice Team for the initiative.

End Of Year Mass

Our final celebration for 2025 will be held in the MPB on Monday Dec 15th at 10 am with our End of Year Mass. This promises to be a special celebration where we farewell our Year 6 students and leaving staff and Families as well as celebrating what a wonderful year 2025 has been. All families are welcome to join us.

It has been another wonderful year and I have enjoyed working with your children and many families. As we enter this holy season, may your hearts be filled with peace and joy, and may your homes reflect the light and hope of Christ. Wishing you a truly Christ-like Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.
