Magnify Sandhurst 2025 – A Year of Growth at Sacred Heart

This year, Catholic Education Sandhurst introduced Magnify, a school improvement initiative focused on enhancing teaching and learning across all schools in our diocese. At Sacred Heart Yarrawonga, we’ve embraced this journey with enthusiasm and commitment.

What is Magnify?

Magnify is built on the science of learning and aims to:

· Deliver a knowledge-rich, low-variance curriculum

· Support teachers with evidence-based practices

2025 Highlights

✅ Structured Literacy & Numeracy – Clear, sequenced programs for stronger foundations ✅ Structured Synthetic Phonics - teaching students to read and spell by learning sounds and letters step by step, then blending them to make words. ✅ Consistent Routines – Predictable learning environments for every child ✅ Faith at the Heart – Catholic values integrated into daily learning

Looking Ahead to 2026

· Expanded writing and spelling programs

· Oral language screening for early learners

· Continued focus on wellbeing and engagement

· Instructional Coaching – Teachers supported to refine practice and boost student outcomes
