Congratulations Rena Zhang!

Congratulations to Rena on her outstanding efforts! Rena is the recipient of this year's Victor Chang School Science Award, established in honour of Dr. Victor Chang.

Established in 2004 in honour of pioneering cardiac surgeon, Dr Victor Chang, the Victor Chang School Science Awards celebrate gifted students, and stimulate growth in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects.

Rena is a motivated student who approaches Physics with diligence and determination. She demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in understanding complex scientific concepts. 

Rena engages in class discussions, asks thoughtful questions, and shows resilience when faced with challenging material. 

Her analytical thinking and attention to detail are evident in the coursework. Rena also collaborates well with her peers, often helping to explain ideas.

Career Expo

Our Year 10 cohort attended the Career Expo at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Wharf, in July, where they were provided the opportunity to explore career options along with university and TAFE courses available to them in a variety of industries. 

Students reported that the day was great in that it provided them with a chance to speak to different service providers and to collect information on courses and apprenticeships of interest. 

Many took advantage of this visit to explore other career options not considered.
