High Achieving Students compete in the Mathematics Trust Competition
This term, a group of talented students from Years 7 to 11 proudly represented Scoresby Secondary College in the prestigious Mathematics Trust Competition.
The competition brought together some of the brightest mathematical minds, challenging participants with complex problem-solving tasks that required creativity, logical thinking, and persistence.
Competitions like these provide wonderful opportunities for students to challenge themselves, build confidence, and celebrate the joy of mathematics.
We look forward to seeing even more success in future events.
Homework Expectations for Year 7– 9
A friendly reminder to all Year 7– 9 students and families that weekly Mathletics homework forms an important part of our mathematics program.
Completing these tasks regularly helps students consolidate their learning, practise key skills, and build confidence.
To further support student progress, we also run Learning Catch-Up sessions every Monday and Thursday.
These sessions provide additional time and guidance for students to complete work, ask questions, and strengthen their understanding.
We encourage all students to take full advantage of these opportunities to stay on top of their learning and continue developing positive study habits.
Congratulations Year 9 – Outstanding NAPLAN Growth
We are incredibly proud of our Year 9 students for their outstanding growth in this year’s NAPLAN results.
Their commitment, effort, and resilience have been reflected in impressive progress across all areas of literacy and numeracy.
This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our students, the dedication of their teachers, and the support of families.
Congratulations to Year 9 on this fantastic milestone—we look forward to seeing you continue to thrive in your learning journey.
