Year 8 Innovate Textiles Unit

Our students have enjoyed developing their creativity and sewing skills through our Textile Design Unit. They learned how to design and make a hand-sewn product for a real person, following a design process that involved researching ideas, planning, creating, testing, and improving their work. Along the way, students practised a range of sewing techniques and explored the importance of choosing materials carefully, considering sustainability, and creating products that are made to last. 

We are proud of the creativity, problem-solving, and craftsmanship they demonstrated in their final projects!
