Year 9 Students Support Foodbank Through OJ Initiative

Last Friday during lunchtime, Year 9 students Harrison North, Elliott Gibbins, Toby Cooke, and Jared Amsterdam ran a successful orange juice fundraiser in support of Foodbank.
Using oranges supplied through Foodbank that were beginning to become overripe, the students worked together to create fresh juice, ensuring the fruit was used sustainably and did not go to waste.
Students and staff were invited to visit Central Plaza during lunch and enjoy a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice in exchange for a donation. All funds raised were donated to Foodbank to support individuals and families in need.
The activity highlighted the students’ commitment to sustainability, teamwork, and community service, while also providing them with valuable experience in planning and delivering a school-based fundraising event.
Thank you to everyone who supported the stall—every cup helped make a difference.
