What 90s One-Hit-Wonder starts with the lines "Wake up kids, we got the dreamer's disease..."?

If you answered 'You Get What You Give' by the New Radicals, you're spot on!!

We've wasted no time getting stuck into production rehearsals in 2025 and that's the actual number we've begun with. We've been busy learning the vocal and choreography and the cast and team are excited we'll get to show off this number to the public at our Grade 6 Information Evening on Thursday 20 March.

Ms Seelig and our Musical Director Jonah have been working hard on getting those harmonies right, while our choreographer Bec has got people moving and grooving already. Our costume designer Darcey has also been sharing ideas to make our scenes pop. 

Alongside rehearsing the number, we've also taken the time to play some games and get to know one another through fun activities with Mr Bleakley and Molly. We've even been learning more about the magnificent decade of the 90s with some of Mr Bleakley's trivia questions.

We've been really impressed with everything that has transpired so far and look forward to continuing to make a fantastic show!!

The STORY of Popstars the 90’s Musical….

The story is set in a school in the 1990s. Mark is head over heels in love with his girlfriend, queen bee Shannon Van de Witt. Shannon learns that pop band impresario Simon Austin is the surprise judge at the state talent show. She dumps him for her chance at showbiz stardom.
