INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

Today the Compassionate Kitchen, in conjunction with the LHS Cafe, prepared and organised the 'International Womens' Day (IWD) Morning Tea' for staff. 

The students made sausages rolls, mini quiche, sugar cookies, cupcakes, lemon slice and nutella slice. 

Ribbons were also available in purple, green and white - the colours of the Women's Suffrage Movement. 

IWD is a specific day dedicated to the advancement of women worldwide. Marked by millions of people on March 8, IWD celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality.

Here's to strong Women. May we know. May we be them. May we raise them.
