Ride 2 School and Trinity Day

What a day!

We began Trinity Day with our Ride 2 School event, filling the bike paths with a sea of red and blue as students cycled their way to campus. A huge thank you to the families who joined the ride, the staff who supervised routes and checkpoints, and the Albury Police for ensuring everyone arrived safely.

A special mention goes to Senior Head of Mathematics, Mr Tristan Patralakis, who went above and beyond - adding Media & PR to his responsibilities for the morning by transporting an A-frame sign on his bike. A fantastic effort, Mr Patralakis!

After the peloton arrived on campus, students were treated to delicious bacon and egg rolls and milkshakes prepared by our Year 11 students, with all proceeds proudly supporting Relay for Life.

Trinity Gift

Today’s Trinity Day celebration kicked off with a coming together of schools for the annual Trinity Gift.

The event includes a male and female house relay and a handicapped 120m race of the fastest students from each year level. There was a huge buzz surging on the senior oval in anticipation of who would be crowned 2025's fastest student.

The relays kicked off with our male event, Petts getting away with an early lead and maintaining it until the end. The girls relay followed shortly after, and the Rosborough women proved that red goes faster. Congratulations to all our runners.

Then came the main event, the fastest boys lined up, the shortest distance was 80m and our back marker runner was Zak Emmett from 120m, Rhys Dempsey had the honours of starting the race and the boys were off with Ewan Bredenkamp closing the gap quickly. Ewan had enough time to soak up his victory with a Usain Bolt style finish, pumping his chest as he crossed the Trinity Banner, as always humble in victory.

The girls' race with some late outs changed the balance of the field. Vallie Murray, a late in for the year 1 girls, looked to come away with a win when Alexis Pritchard found her stride and crossed the line in first by a number of body lengths.

The final placings:

Boys:

1st Ewan Bredenkamp (Year 10, Lankester)

2nd Charlie Coulter (Year 8, Hoffman)

3rd Alex Castley (Year 6, Rosborough)

Girls:

1st Alexis Pritchard (Year 6, Lankester)

2nd Erika Young (Year 8, Kimball)

3rd Pamela Duncan (Year 7 Rosborough)
