VEX State Championships
Four Trinity teams travelled to Melbourne to compete in the VEX State Championships, joining 44 teams from Years 4 to 8 in a highly competitive and inspiring event.
Our Trinity Eagles team delivered an exceptional performance, placing 4th overall. This is an outstanding achievement in their first year of competition, particularly as a mixed Year 4 and 5 team. Their results have qualified them for the National Championships, to be held in Adelaide in early December.
The Trinity Rovers also performed extremely well, securing 6th place overall after a strong final match. Both teams demonstrated excellent problem-solving, communication and competitive spirit throughout the event.
The Trinity Falcons and Trinity Lions showed tremendous teamwork and perseverance, continuing to develop their skills across the competition. While they did not progress to the finals, they represented the College with determination and positivity.
We also acknowledge and congratulate our Year 9 students, Ahmed Siddiqui and Charli Robinson, who served as referees across the Championships. Their professionalism, accuracy and commitment were evident as they officiated more than 80 games with confidence and focus.
Thank you to our families for their ongoing support across what has been a long and rewarding season, and to Border Robotics for their continued guidance. These partnerships play a vital role in enabling our students to participate and succeed at this level.
A special thank you to Mrs Tamara Steinhauser for her leadership and dedication in driving this team and event.
Seven years ago, we introduced STEM at Trinity as a platform to inspire students to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics pathways. One of our key goals has been to ensure that girls see STEM as an exciting and accessible opportunity, especially given that many university STEM courses remain male-dominated. Seeing our students - boys and girls - excel in robotics and engineering challenges is a proud moment for our school and a sign that these pathways are opening up for all.
Congratulations to all our students on their impressive efforts and achievements.
