From the Principal

Dr Adrian Johnson

Senior School Leadership, 2026

From the commencement of 2026, we are moving to a twin Deputy Principal organisational structure. Current Deputy Principal K–12, Kathy Fletcher, will focus solely on the Senior School and will assume the new title Deputy Principal – Senior School. Our Head of Junior School, Simon Fairall, will fulfil the new position as Deputy Principal – Junior School.  As the College continues to grow, this revised structure will ensure we best serve the students, families and staff in each sub-school.

New Director of Teaching and Learning, K – 12

We are also delighted to announce Nash Clark will be joining the College Leadership Team as our Director of Teaching and Learning in 2026.  Nash brings with him more than two decades of educational leadership and teaching experience across a wide range of school contexts.  Holding a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, a Graduate Diploma of Education, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement, Nash is deeply committed to fostering excellence in K – 12 learning environments.

Nash has served in a number of influential roles, including Deputy Head of Junior School, Acting Head of Junior School, Director of Sport and Co-Curricular, and most recently, Director of Teaching and Learning.  Throughout his career, he has led strategic initiatives that strengthen classroom practice and enhance student outcomes, including the development of contemporary teaching and learning frameworks, major assessment reform, and the thoughtful integration of digital platforms and emerging technologies. And these are just the sorts of strategic academic initiatives we expect to see delivered with Nash’s appointment.

Thank you to our Retiring Chair of Council – 10 years of volunteer service to our Council

I'm sorry to confirm Mrs Fiona Elgin will conclude her term as Chair of Council at the end of this year.  This brings to an end a long association between the College and the Elgin-Stuczynski family. Lachie commenced in Kinder in Term 2, 2011, along with Will in Year 3 and Zoe in Year 5 – all of whom concluded their studies in Year 12 at Trinity.  Fiona became a member of the Trinity Council in February 2015 and became Chair in February 2019.

Fiona will be remembered for always being warm and inclusive yet mindful of her fiduciary responsibilities; we will all miss the intelligence and breadth of experience Fiona brought to any issue.  Under her leadership, Council have been focussed on the best possible outcomes for the College and the students and families in our care.  Bringing the Trinity Towards Tomorrow project to fruition is a fitting legacy of Fiona’s time at the College.

New Chair of College Council

Following our enthusiastic support and subsequent endorsement by AngliSchools’ Board, it is my pleasure to announce Fiona Elgin’s successor as Chair of College Council: Mr Tony Sheumack.  Many people will recall Tony was Interim Principal for Semester 1, 2022, just before I commenced as Principal in the July of that year.

Tony was the long serving Principal of Beaconhills College in Melbourne – a dual campus school of over 3,000 students.  Tony is also Chair of AngliCare Victoria and so brings with him significant governance expertise.  We are very much looking forward to welcoming Tony back to our community.
