Grade 1 News

What a wonderful term of learning! 

It has been fantastic to see the students grow, learn and challenge themselves throughout Term 3. We have certainly packed a lot of learning and fun into the term!

In Mathematics, we have finished our unit of work on sharing into equal groups. Students have been learning about skip counting, making equal groups and grouping objects. It has been delightful to see their confidence grow as they developed their understanding of these important mathematical concepts.

In Religion, students have enjoyed exploring how we can care for our Earth. We have discussed the ways we can look after our beautiful world and considered the small things we can do each day to care for creation.

In Science, students have been exploring the fascinating world of Mini Beasts! We have been learning about different mini beasts and their features, habitats and important roles in our environment.

Today was the perfect opportunity to put our learning into action as we visited Winton Wetlands for our excursion. The students had an exciting day exploring, discovering and learning about the natural environment. It was fantastic to see their faces as they searched for and observed mini beasts in their natural habitats. We are so proud of the way the students represented our school.

It has been a busy and exciting Term 3, filled with learning, discovery and plenty of wonderful memories. We are so proud of all the students and the progress they have made this term.
