Grade 2 News

What a wonderful term it has been in Grade 2! We have been busy learning, creating and exploring across all areas of our curriculum. 

Writing️ 

In Writing, we have been exploring The True Story of the Three Little Pigs and developing our persuasive writing skills. Students have been building arguments to convince their readers that the wolf is innocent! They have enjoyed using persuasive language, reasons and evidence to support their opinions and convince others to see things from the wolf’s point of view. 

Maths 

 In Maths, we have been focusing on operations, developing our understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Students have been practising different strategies and applying their mathematical thinking to solve problems. 

Science  

Our science learning has taken us back in time as we have been learning all about dinosaurs! Students have explored how dinosaurs lived, what they ate and how we know about them today. They have also incorporated a creative element into their learning to demonstrate their understanding. 

Religion 

In Religion, we have been learning about Caring for Creation. Students have reflected on how we can care for our world and explored ways we can show respect for the environment and all living things. 

We would like to thank our Grade 2 students and families for another wonderful term of learning, growth and fun.
