Principal's message

Scripture Verse: "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)

Loving God, 

We pray for the children preparing to celebrate their First Reconciliation.

Bless them with courage to be honest, humility to say sorry, and trust in Your endless love and mercy.

Help them to know that You are always ready to forgive, to welcome them, and to guide them on the right path.

May they experience the peace and joy that comes from Your forgiveness. Fill their hearts with kindness, patience, and love, so that they may grow closer to You each day.

Bless their families, teachers, and parish community who support them on this special journey of faith.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, who shows us the Father's love and mercy.

Amen.

Dear Parents, 

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us at the Athletic sports last Friday. It was a wonderful day for our children who appeared to enjoy themselves immensely. 

Congratulations to all the children for participating in the events with enthusiasm and sportsmanship, we particularly congratulate our Red team for their win. I am sure everyone is grateful to Gerard Nolan for preparing the children in their PE sessions and for so capably organising the event. Thank you also to our staff and the students from Galen who supported us on the day.

First Confession/Reconciliation

Our children continue this Thursday with their preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Thank you to the families who have returned their Sacramental Program enrolment form. Please remember to send these into school thank you.

Schedule

Week 9 and 10 of term 3, and week 1 and 2 of term 4 - Preparation with children completed at school.    

               Wednesday 7th October parent meeting @ 6.00pm St. Bernard's Chapel.  

               Wednesday 14th October at either 5.30 or 6.30pm Sacramental evening in 

                St. Bernard's Chapel.

Eucharist and Confirmation Students

I remind the families of the children who completed the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist recently to please send the $25.00 fee for the sacraments to the office so the money can be forwarded to the Parish to cover the costs of the medals, stole and certificates.  Thank you to those who have already sent this in.

End of term 

I remind everyone that school finishes at 2.20pm this Friday and returns for the beginning of term 4 on Monday 5th October.

Camps 

Our grade six children head off on Camp to CYC Adanac on Monday 5th October and return to school on Wednesday 7th October. CYC Adanacʼs School Camps combine adventure, teamwork and outdoor education to help students build confidence, resilience and meaningful connections through engaging activities in a safe, supportive environment. We wish the children and staff an exciting and safe camp. 

Our grade five children head off on camp to Feathertop Chalet in Harrietville at the base of Mount Hotham on Wednesday 7th October and return on Friday 9th October. We trust that the children will enjoy their time at the Chalet camp which is purpose built to empower and improve young people’s lives through challenge, teamwork and determination. We look forward to the children and staff returning safely to Wangaratta on Friday.
