Year 4 News

What a wonderful term it has been! We hope everyone has a fantastic and relaxing holiday break. Enjoy some well-deserved time with family and friends, and we look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for another exciting term.

Next term, we will be diving into our new class novel, His Name Was Walter by Emily Rodda. We are looking forward to exploring this mysterious and engaging story together and developing our reading, comprehension and discussion skills along the way.

Our PJ Day was so much fun! It was fantastic to see everyone arriving at school super comfy and ready for a cosy day of learning. Thank you to everyone who got involved and embraced the spirit of the day!

We have also been learning about digital safety through our “Be Safe Online, Day and Night!” theme. Students created their own comic strips exploring different times of the day and thinking about when and how we can use technology safely and responsibly. It was wonderful to see their creative ideas and thoughtful discussions about staying safe online.

Term 4 Important Dates:

• Week 2 - Monday 12th October Parliament Incursion
• Week 5 - Friday 5th November - Melbourne Cup & GEM Day
• Week 7 - Wednesday 18th November Year 3 & 4 Maths Games Day; we would love as many helpers as possible!
