Year 3 News

What an exciting Term 3 it has been in Year 3! As we come to the end of the term, we are incredibly proud of the curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm our students have shown throughout their learning.
This term, our Inquiry learning has focused on habitats and interdependence. Students have explored how living things depend on one another and their environment to survive. They investigated the relationships between plants, animals, people and other living things, and discovered how even the smallest creatures can play an important role within an ecosystem.
Be Safe Online, Day and Night
In our ever-connected world, it is important that children know how to stay safe, respectful and responsible whenever they are using technology. On Friday, we are focused on the important message: “Stay Safe Online, Day & Night!”.
We encourage families to talk regularly with children about their online experiences and remind them to:
🔐 Keep it private – Never share passwords, personal information or private photos online.
💬 Be kind online – Use respectful words and remember that there is a real person behind the screen.
🚩 Speak up – If something online makes you feel worried, uncomfortable or unsafe, stop and tell a trusted adult.
👀 Think before you click – Check that links, messages, games and websites are safe before interacting with them.
⏰ Balance screen time – Make time for sleep, exercise, family, friends and offline activities too.
🤝 Ask for help – Children should know that they can always come to a trusted adult if something doesn't feel right.
We wish all our Year 3 families a safe, happy and restful break. Thank you for your continued support throughout Term 3. We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for another wonderful term of learning!
