Year 8 Boys Football
Our Year 8 boys recently represented Wangaratta High School at the School Sport Victoria Upper Hume Football Carnival held at Barr Reserve.
Despite some strong passages of play, the boys were unable to come away with a win against quality opposition, including eventual champions Catholic College Wodonga.
Jake Vincent was awarded the Steve Johnson Medal as Best Player after an outstanding carnival. The talented midfielder collected 41 possessions, 10 marks and a goal across the two matches, showcasing his speed, skill and football IQ. Fellow standout Ollie Fisher was also impressive across half-back, while Zach Tamme, Dayne Jeffries, and Jayden Foster all made valuable contributions throughout the day.
Congratulations to all players for their effort, sportsmanship and pride in representing the school.
