Year 6 teacher

How long have you worked at

BNPS?

Kate

  •  I started at BNPS in 2010 as a very excited Uni graduate.

What is your favourite thing to do on weekends?

Kate

  •  Going on adventures with my family. We love going to the park, getting coffees and ‘chinos’ and for paddles at the beach with our big Bernese Mountain dog, Louis.
  • I do also love going out for dinners and brunch as well! Nothing like eating something yummy!

What is your favourite TV Show?

Kate

  • I love watching Bluey with my girls, it makes me get a bit teary every time I watch it! Some of my old favourites are Friends, Grey’s Anatomy and Seinfeld- always up for a laugh!

If you could go on a holiday anywhere in the World, where would you go?

Kate

  • Europe! And hopefully be able to sit on a beach somewhere and squeeze in a visit to my sister who lives in London, I miss her so much and always want to pop over to see her!

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

Kate

  • When I asked the Year 6’s this question, Lachie B told me he was surprised to learn that I was a State champion in Girls Football in Year 12 (which was as high as we could go at that stage). Apparently, he was quite surprised to learn this!

What recently made you smile?

Kate

  • When Charlotte (my 3-year-old daughter) came home from Kinder with her first Mother’s Day picture with her handprint…. I may have cried some happy tears.

What would you like to say to the students at BNPS?

Kate

  • Enjoy it all and have fun! Primary School goes so quickly, and we are all here to help you! Never forget how amazing and capable you really are!
