Updates from Senior Primary
Treasuring Trees & Gideon Bibles
Donna and Tony Ingpen from IGA are fervent supporters of the community, and as such, have partnered with MECS to give an annual monetary gift for the Year 6s. This has been aptly used in a second partnership with Treasuring our Trees, a non-for-profit organisation that salvage the 25,000 trees felled in the 2021 storms. Pieces of timber are cut, sanded, and then engraved with a Bible verse or affirmation of the student’s choice. This becomes a truly meaningful and unique keepsake of their years in Primary School, which they receive at their Graduation.
We are blessed and grateful to have this partnership with both organisations.

On Wednesday the 10th of December, the Year 6 students were blessed with a Gideon Bible. These will be individually named and included in their Graduation bag.
We would like to thank Mr Henderson and Mr McDougall for donating these Bibles to our Year 6s.
Another example of the wonderful partnerships we are forming with our community.
