Free Strings Music Lessons for new students!

Our strings teacher, Carolyn Jackson, is offering 6 free lessons (to be used in term 1) for the first four new students who sign up!

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1. Eligibility

• Available to current MECS students only who have not previously enrolled in strings lessons.

• Offer must be redeemed by February 1, 2026

• Open to students Year5 to 12.

• Lessons will be conducted with a group of four students.

2. Limited Places

• Limited to the first 4 students who sign up.

• A waitlist will be created in case a place becomes available.

3. Attendance Expectations

• Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons.

• No catch-up lessons will be offered for student absences.

• If a student misses more than 2 lessons without notice, their place may be offered to someone on the waitlist.

4. Scheduling

• Lessons will be held during school hours at times arranged by the strings teacher.

• Lesson times may rotate to minimise disruption to core classes.

5. Instruments

MECS has limited violins available to hire; allocation is first-come, first-served.

6. Commitment

• This program is intended as a short trial. Participation in the 6 free lessons does not obligate families to continue.

• Continued lessons after the trial will follow normal MECS music tuition fees and policies.

7. Behaviour & Readiness

• Students must demonstrate appropriate behaviour and willingness to engage during lessons.

• The teacher reserves the right to discontinue a student’s trial if necessary.

8. Communication

• Parents/guardians will be notified of lesson times and any changes.

• Any absences should be communicated to the teacher or the music department as early as possible.
