The True Gift of Christmas

As the festive season approaches, we’re surrounded by lights, gifts, and celebrations. But what is the real meaning of Christmas? It’s more than decorations or traditions—it’s about the greatest gift ever given: Jesus Christ.

This week during our Primary Christmas Assembly we celebrated the Prep nativity play; an assortment of Christmas songs from the funny to the reverent, reminding us that just like a wrapped present, God’s gift of His Son is offered freely, but we each have a choice— to accept it or not. Saying “Yes” means embracing His love, peace, and forgiveness. This season, let’s look beyond the sparkle and discover what lasts forever.

Parents and caregivers help children see that Christmas isn’t just about presents under the tree, but the presence of Jesus in our lives. When you see gifts this year, remember: the best gift isn’t in wrapping paper—it’s God’s love through His Son.

Let’s celebrate the gift that changes everything.

Merry Christmas!
