EAL Junior Secondary
End of Year Break Up
On Tuesday 2 December our Chin Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 joined Mrs. Witt, Mrs Bradbury and Mrs Smith in the Gym after school for our end of year community time.
This was a social afternoon of volleyball games, Christmas bracelet making and enjoying hot chips together to celebrate the end of the school year, and to thank Mrs Witt for her work in EAL Intervention throughout the year. EAL Intervention aims to support the literacy and language development of students from a non-English speaking background.
Students also enjoyed a practical activity of cooking Sticky Date Puddings towards the end of Term 4, following the language of Procedural Texts, ensuring cooking steps were completed in the correct order! Students and their families loved the taste test of the puddings.
