Year 6 Graduation

After seven unforgettable years of Primary School, can you believe your children arrived at this moment? At the Graduation Evening, held at the York on Lilydale, anticipation filled the air as our Year 6 students stepped confidently into befitting outfits for such an occasion, ready for a wonderful celebration of their God-given talents.
This special night is led largely by the students themselves, as an opportunity to honour their achievements, reflect on their highlights, and give thanks for the growth they’ve experienced along the way. With a formal dinner and the joy of being with friends, the night marks a meaningful milestone in their journey.
Each student received a Graduation Bag, complete with a Graduation Book they co-wrote, a prayer bookmark, a Graduation photo, a donated Bible, and a personal award from their teacher. They were also gifted a piece of storm-salvaged timber from Treasuring Our Trees, inscribed with a Bible verse or affirmation of their choice, something to hold and remember as they step into this next chapter.
Adding a creative touch, every student made their own placemat for the table, beautifully illustrating themselves at this unique and memorable age.
What a privilege it has been to celebrate our Year 6 students and all they have become. We sincerely thank the parents for their partnership across all the years, and we hope and pray your children will embrace the exciting challenges in Secondary School, whether here at MECS or elsewhere. Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will".
May God’s blessings be many for the wonderful graduating class of 2025!
