Level 3

Swimming
Last week, grade 3 students had a blast at swimming! They enjoyed spending time in the pool, building their swimming skills and confidence, and having lots of fun along the way. It was great to see everyone giving things a go, encouraging their friends and showing all our school values of respect, teamwork, growth and resilience.
Literacy / Inquiry
During our Literacy and Inquiry lessons, students have continued to learn new information about their chosen neighbouring country. They have been developing their research skills, practising how to effectively paraphrase information they find, and sharing what they have learned with their peers.
Over the past couple of weeks, students have also been exploring information reports and building on their understanding of the different features and structures. They have then used these skills to write their own information piece about a native animal from their chosen country. It has been great to see students sharing some fascinating facts and showing lots of enthusiasm for their research!
Maths
In Maths, we have been developing our division skills and exploring different strategies, including groups, skip counting, arrays and number lines. We have also begun learning about chance, making predictions and exploring events that are certain, likely, unlikely or impossible.
