It has been wonderful to see our Level 2 students continuing to grow in confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning. Our classrooms have been busy with lots of exciting learning experiences, and we are so proud of the effort, curiosity and positivity students are bringing each day. We hope you enjoy reading about some of the wonderful learning that has been happening in Level 2.
In Literacy, our focus has been on information reports. During Reading, students explored a variety of information texts, analysed their structure and features, and learned how authors use technical vocabulary to share accurate information.
In Writing, students used this knowledge to create their own information reports about Australian cities and landmarks. They enjoyed presenting their learning in different formats, including posters, brochures and fact files.

In Numeracy, we spent several weeks developing our understanding of multiplication and division. Students explored equal groups, arrays and different strategies for solving multiplication and division problems.
We have now moved on to measurement, beginning with length before exploring capacity and volume. Students are learning to estimate measurements and select the correct tools and units to measure accurately.

In Inquiry, students are exploring the different ways that places can be represented through maps, drawings, photographs and digital images. They are learning to compare different representations of familiar places, such as our school and local area, and notice what information each representation provides.
We have now completed our swimming program, and it was a wonderful success! Students participated enthusiastically in both swimming lessons and water safety activities.
It was fantastic to see how much they enjoyed the program and how increasingly independent they became when getting ready for the pool and changing after their lessons. We were very proud of the confidence and independence they demonstrated throughout the program.
A big thank you to our families for supporting this valuable opportunity for our students to learn, grow and shine.
