Ambassadors Chronicle
Hi, we’re Elodie and Luca, two of the School Ambassadors this year.
On Monday, Kat Theophanous and some members of the Department of Education visited our school for an official “Sod Turning” event, which symbolises the beginning of construction for our new build.
As part of our duties as School Ambassadors, we greeted Kat and her team at the office and took some pictures. Then we accompanied them on a tour of the new Art Room. It was all very white and there is a lot more storage in it now. There is a whole room just for the kiln! It felt so big and very different from what we remember. For instance, they got rid of the big wooden pillar in the middle of the room. And there isn’t a door to get to OSCH anymore! We think it’s going to look really nice when it’s finished.
After the tour, we had a special assembly that Luca and David, our Principal, ran. Then we went into the construction site where the new playground would have been. We turned some soil together and took some more pictures.
Something funny that happened was that one of the people who visited accidentally fell into a really muddy hole and sank to his shins in the mud.
Luca asked him, “Are those boots new?”
He said, “No, I’ve been wearing them for a while.”
Even he had to laugh.
We were proud to represent the school and meet our local politician.
Thanks for reading.
